Yeah, I also think it was inappropriate for him to talk on the phone in class. I didn't pay 500 bucks to listen to some dude talk on his cell phone. However, I don't think I'd go as far as smashing the phone. Rabid monkeys
I'd say that the prof was beaten too much as a child, and that the student wasn't beaten enough as a child.
